• Apply for a Retired Status License

You may qualify for a retired status license if you:

1. Are currently licensed in Maryland; and
2. Have been licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor for at least 25 years—five years of which were in Maryland; and
3. Are not the subject of a pending disciplinary action related to the practice of surveying in this or another state.

The fee for a retired status license is $56. If granted, this license does not have to be renewed.*

*Please note that the holder of the retired status may NOT engage in the practice of surveying, but is permitted to use the designation of "Professional Land Surveyor, Retired".
