Award Nominations now open! February 23-March 27, 2026 - Office of Apprenticeship

National Apprenticeship Week

You are cordially invited to join the Maryland Office of Apprenticeship in celebrating the 12th Annual National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) from April 26-May 2, 2026

This year’s theme, America at Work: Making America Skilled Again through Registered Apprenticeship, really shines a light on how apprenticeships are changing lives right here in Maryland. It’s all about helping people discover new career paths, learn valuable skills, and giving employers a way to grow strong, talented teams. It’s always an inspiring week, and we look forward to you being a part of it.

What is National Apprenticeship Week?

National Apprenticeship Week is a nationwide celebration that brings together leaders from industry, labor, workforce development, education, government, and community organizations to highlight the impact and value of Registered Apprenticeship. It’s a chance to share real success stories and show how apprenticeships help strengthen our economy, expand opportunity, and support communities that have often been underserved. NAW also shows how this proven, industry-driven training model is helping build a strong talent pipeline to meet today’s workforce needs — from rebuilding infrastructure and strengthening supply chains to supporting clean energy, cybersecurity, and the growing care economy.

2026 Maryland Apprenticeship Awards

Would you like to see an organization, Registered Apprenticeship Sponsor, Registered Apprentice Mentor, Registered Apprentice or Youth Apprentice receive recognition for excellence? The Maryland Department of Labor (MD Labor) is holding the annual Maryland Apprenticeship Awards to recognize exemplary participants in Maryland apprenticeships and to highlight apprenticeship as an outstanding workforce development model.

Awardees will be announced during National Apprenticeship Week.
