Renew a License - Locksmiths

Application process

Renewal applications are sent approximately 60 days before the expiration of the license. If you have not received a renewal application within 30 days of expiration, please contact us. The Registration of Locksmith Technician Form (Word) and a current certificate of liability insurance are required for license renewal. Send your completed renewal application, required technician registration form, insurance certificate and payment to the Maryland Locksmith Licensing Program. If there are no other licensing issues or documents needed, your license will be mailed to you. If there are any licensing requirements that are unmet, you will be contacted.

License Period: Two-year period from the date of issuance.
