August 7, 2024 - Ocean Downs
OD 24-018 Driver Kenneth Weckstein is fined $150.00 for interference after the 1/2 pole (coming out late and impeding the progress of another horse) with AIRBORNE while driving SPEED BALL SWAGGER in the 5th race on August 6th, 2024 at Ocean Downs. SPEED BALL SWAGGER finished 3rd and was placed 6th. All fines are due within 10 days of ruling or the Maryland Racing Commission licensee will be suspended until payment is received.

August 11, 2024 - Ocean Downs
OD 24-019 Driver Jason Thompson is fined $100.00 for excessive use of the whip in the stretch while driving MAKE SOME WAVES in the 7th race on August 8th, 2024 at Ocean Downs. All fines are due within 10 days of the ruling or Maryland Racing Commission licensee will be suspended until payment is received.

August 15, 2024 - Ocean Downs
OD 24-020 Driver Justin Vincent is suspended from driving from August 19th, 2024 through August 21st, 2024 (3 days) for causing visible whip marks while driving OODLES OF GOLD in the 1st race on August 11th, 2024 at Ocean Downs.

August 19, 2024 - Ocean Downs
OD 24-021 Trainer Steven Robinson, for being the trainer of record on sample #E624788 taken from CRUSH HANOVER in the 10th race on August 1st, 2024 at Ocean Downs, was found to contain the medication Flunixin (Banamine) at a concentration of 7.46 ng/mL. The ARCI threshold for this medication is 5 ng/mL. As a result, Robinson is fined $500.00 and must forfeit all purse monies. Additionally, CRUSH HANOVER is disqualified, finishing 1st and placed 7th. All purse monies must be returned within 72 hours of this issuance, and all fines are due within 10 days of ruling.

August 22, 2024 - Ocean Downs
OD 24-022 Driver Deshawn Sample is suspended from driving from August 23rd, 2024 through August 25th, 2024 (3 days) for impeding the progress of another horse in the stretch while driving POST JOLENE in the 3rd race on August 21st, 2024 at Ocean Downs. POST JOLENE finished 2nd and was placed 3rd.
