All fines are due within 10 days of ruling or Maryland Racing Commission licensee will be suspended until payment is received.

RCR 23-009 Driver Frank Milby is fined $200.00 for failing to keep both feet in the stirrups while driving CHURCH CHOIR in the 9th race on February 7th, 2023 at Rosecroft Raceway. This is Mr. Milby’s second offense of the meet. All fines are due within 10 days of ruling or Maryland Racing Commission licensee will be suspended until payment is received.

February 9, 2023 - Rosecroft Raceway
RCR 23-010 Trainer John Wagner, for being the trainer of record on sample #E505900 taken from NIPSEY in the 4th race on January 19th, 2023 at Rosecroft Raceway, was found to contain the drug Methocarbamol (Robaxin) at a concentration of 1.96ng/ml. The ARCI threshold for this therapeutic drug is 1 ng/ml. As a result, trainer Wagner is fined $500.00, and must return all purse monies. Additionally, Wagner will be issued a 15-day full suspension from February 10th, 2023 through February 24th, 2023. During this suspension, he and all horses trained or owned by him are barred from the grounds, under the jurisdiction of the Maryland Racing Commission. NIPSEY finished 1st and was placed 9th. All purse monies must be returned within 72 hours of this issuance, and all fines are due within 10 days of ruling.

RCR 23-011 Trainer Trevor Stafford, for being the trainer of record on sample #E505962 taken from MANACCOUNT in the 2nd race on February 2nd, 2023 at Rosecroft Raceway, was found to contain the drug Tranexamic acid. As a result, trainer Stafford is fined $500.00, and must return all purse monies. MANACCOUNT finished 1st and was placed 7th. All purse monies must be returned within 72 hours of this issuance, and all fines are due within 10 days of ruling.

The ARCI threshold for this therapeutic drug is 10 ng/ml. As a result, Willabus is fined $500.00, and must return all purse monies. Additionally, Willabus will be issued a 15-day full suspension from March 1st, 2023 through March 15th, 2023. During this suspension, she and all horses trained or owned by her are barred from the grounds, under the jurisdiction of the Maryland Racing Commission. TEQUILA N ROSES finished 1st and was placed 9th. All purse monies must be returned within 72 hours of this issuance, and all fines are due within 10 days of ruling.
