OD 23-002 Driver Kubi Erzene is fined $100.00 for excessive use of the whip while driving LINDYTHEFOURTEENTH in the 13th race on May 29th, 2023 at Ocean Downs. All fines are due within 10 days of ruling or Maryland Racing Commission licensee will be suspended until payment is received.

June 13, 2023 - Ocean Downs
OD 23-003 Trainer Thomas Lord, for being the trainer of record on sample #E550382 taken from FRANZO on May 28th, 2023 at Ocean Downs, was found to contain a Total Carbon Dioxide (TCO2) concentration of 41.1+-2.8 mmol/L. As a result, Lord is fined $1000.00 and must return all purse monies. Lord will also be issued a full suspension from June 13th, 2023 through July 12th, 2023. During this suspension, he and all horses trained and/or owned by him are barred from the grounds, under the jurisdiction of the Maryland Racing Commission. Additionally, FRANZO is disqualified, finishing first and placed eighth, and is placed on the stewards list from June 13th, 2023 through July 12th, 2023. All purse monies must be returned within 72 hours of this issuance, and all fines are due within 10 days of the ruling.

OD 23-004 Driver Adrian Wisher Jr. is fined $100.00 for failure to participate in the post parade with WHATS THIS before the 10th race on June 19th, 2022 at Ocean Downs. All fines are due within 10 days of the ruling or Maryland Racing Commission licensee will be suspended until payment is received.
