October 2, 2024 - Rosecroft Raceway
RCR 24-037 Driver Johnathan Ahle is fined $200.00 for causing visible whip marks/welts on CAPTAIN CARTER in the 4th race on September 30th, 2024 at Rosecroft Raceway. All fines are due within 10 days of the ruling or Maryland Racing Commission licensee will be suspended until payment is received.

October 14, 2024 - Rosecroft Raceway
RCR 24-038 Driver Richard Titter is suspended from driving for three days (October 12th, 2024 through October 14th, 2024) for interference after the start with SPEED BALL SWAGGER, causing SPEED BALL SWAGGER to make a break, while driving SONGS IN THE WIND in the 5th race on October 9th, 2024 at Rosecroft Raceway.

October 21, 2024 - Rosecroft Raceway
RCR 24-039 Trainer Johnny Crites Jr., for being trainer of record on sample #E509853 taken on October 9th, 2024 at Rosecroft Raceway, was found to contain a Total Carbon Dioxide (TCO2) concentration of 41.7+-1.9 mmol/L. This exceeds the maximum TCO2 concentration allowed per Maryland Racing Commission guidelines. As a result, Crites Jr. is fined $1,000.00, and must return all purse monies. Crites Jr. will also be issued a 30-day full suspension from October 21st, 2024 through November 19th, 2024. During this suspension, he and all horses trained and/or owned by him are barred from the grounds, under jurisdiction of the Maryland Racing Commission. Additionally, AMELIA’S APPLE is disqualified, finishing fourth and is placed eighth. AMELIA’S APPLE is also placed on the stewards list from October 21st, 2024 through November 19th, 2024. All purse monies must be returned within 72 hours of this issuance, and all fines are due within 10 days of the ruling.

October 31, 2024 - Rosecroft Raceway
RCR 24-040 Trainer Greg Trotto, for being the trainer of record on sample #E509962 taken from LYONS MUSIC on October 7th, 2024, was found to contain Altrenogest (Regumate). As a result, Trotto is fined $500.00 and must return all purse monies. Additionally, LYONS MUSIC is disqualified, finishing first and is placed ninth. All purse monies must be returned within 72 hours of this issuance, and all fines are due within 10 days of the ruling.
COMAR: 09.10.03.04.B. One Multiple Medication Violation (MMV) point assessed.
