Maryland Codes Administration Staff - Building Code Administration
The Maryland Codes Administration helps to ensure that buildings erected in Maryland meet applicable standards for health and safety. Codes Administration establishes and enforces standards for industrialized/modular buildings and is responsible for inspecting and certifying these building units at the factory.
Jun Zhao, PE – Manager of Industrialized Buildings and Manufactured Homes Program
Jun leads the Department’s Maryland Industrialized Buildings and Manufactured Homes Program to administrate regulations adopted by the Department regarding design/construction of industrialized buildings, manufacturers of industrialized buildings, and Approved Testing Facilities. Other related responsibilities include investigation of customer complaints of industrialized building and Manufactured Homes, and conducting unannounced inspections of manufacturing plants.
Alysia Henson - Codes Process Manager
Alysia processes Maryland Insignia applications, manufacturers’ new /renewal applications, and Approved Testing Facility (ATF) new/renewal applications for the Industrialized Building Program. Other responsibilities include assisting with arrangements for building code training seminars, and other general office support functions.
