Department of Labor - Division of Workforce Development
The Division of Workforce Development oversees the State's workforce programs. Working in partnership with Local Workforce Investment Areas, services include matching job seekers with employers, providing training opportunities and reporting on the needs and demands of the labor market. Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation (AAWDC)
AAWDC is a non-profit agency that serves as Anne Arundel County's workforce arm. In that capacity they administer a number of federal grants including the WIA grant which provides training dollars for adults and Youth. Services are provided in the Glen Burnie and Arundel Mills One-Stop centers.
Anne Arundel County Government
The Anne Arundel County Executive appoints members to the Workforce Investment Board (WIB), designates the entity responsible for WIA administration in the county, and reviews and approves WIA plans.

Anne Arundel Community College
Provides Adult Basic Skills, GED, and a variety of classes to upgrade skills, acquire new skills and certifications, as well as career and job development assistance, follow-up support and academic counseling.
Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation
Works to attract and retain business investment, focusing on those companies that maintain economic balance, that respect the quality of life on the Bay, and that provide quality, high paying jobs to Anne Arundel County citizens.
Department of Social Services
A division of the Maryland's Department of Human Resources, the Department of Social Services aggressively pursues opportunities to assist people in economic need, provides prevention services, and protects vulnerable children and adults in Anne Arundel County.
Department of Rehabilitation Services
The Maryland Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS) offers programs and services that help people with disabilities go to work or stay independent in their homes and communities. DORS is an agency of the Maryland State Department of Education. DORS is composed of the public vocational rehabilitation program and the Disability Determination Services.
YWCA of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County
YWCA provides a multitude of prevention, education, and intervention programs for women, children, couples, and families.
