National Apprenticeship Week 2024 - Maryland Apprenticeship and Training Program (MATP)
You are cordially invited to join in celebrating the 10th anniversary of National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) from November 17-23, 2024!
This year's theme - 10 Years of Engagement, Expansion, and Innovation - is in recognition of the platform NAW continues to provide for Marylanders to learn about the life-changing impacts of apprenticeship for jobseekers and employers throughout the State.
What is National Apprenticeship Week?
NAW is a nationwide celebration where industry, labor, equity, workforce, education, and government leaders host events to showcase the successes and value of Registered Apprenticeship for rebuilding our economy, advancing racial and gender equity, and supporting underserved communities. NAW is an opportunity to highlight how Registered Apprenticeship, a proven and industry-driven training model, provides a critical talent pipeline that can help to address some of our nation’s pressing workforce challenges such as rebuilding our country’s infrastructure, addressing critical supply chain demands, supporting a clean energy workforce, modernizing our cybersecurity response, and responding to care economy issues.
2024 Maryland Apprenticeship Awards
Would you like to see an organization, Registered Apprenticeship Sponsor, Registered Apprentice Mentor, Registered Apprentice or Youth Apprentice receive recognition for excellence? The Maryland Department of Labor (MD Labor) is holding the fourth annual Maryland Apprenticeship Awards to recognize exemplary participants in Maryland apprenticeships and to highlight apprenticeship as an outstanding workforce development model.
Awardees will be announced during National Apprenticeship Week.
